A few weeks ago, the Food Programme asked me to join them on a summer camping special with Sheila Dillon. We were joined by broadcaster, 6Music DJ and fire enthusiast, Cerys Matthews, fellow outdoor cook, Josh Sutton, aka The Guyrope Gourmet, Matthew de Abaitua who wrote a book on the history of camping and Andy Hamilton, forager and wild drinks expert. I'm honoured and delighted to be able to say that last week I was elected as the new Co-Chair of the Guild of Food Writers, the prestigious professional organisation for food writers with a growing membership of over 500. I am sharing the Chair with Angela Clutton, fellow writer, whom you can see pictured here beside me, in part because we are both freelancers and as such never know how busy life is going to get.

In a really exciting bit of filming news, Red Tractor, the UK's leading farm and foods standard scheme, have asked me to make some recipe films with Adam Henson, Countryfile presenter and possibly the nations favourite farmer, from the Cotswold Farm Park. Today I went up to the farm and met Adam for the first time, who was as lovely as you might expect, but my eyes were really only for the 4 day old piglet I was given to snuggle. Love a piglet snuggle!

My latest book, Masterchef Street Food of the World, is published on 9th March 2017, and to say I’m rather excited about it would be an understatement. I have been a food stylist for the world-renowned Masterchef brand, working on several of their gorgeous books with the legendary photographer, David Loftus over the last couple of years.

I write regularly for Olive magazine, and my latest article in the March 2017 issue sees me exploring a collection new ‘healthy ingredients’ from a taste point of view. Olive came to me to see if I would investigate a raft of ingredients such as kefir water, koji spores, amaranth seeds, khorasan, teff and coconut flours.
