Filming with Countryfile's Adam Henson

Filming with Countryfile's Adam Henson

In a really exciting bit of filming news, Red Tractor, the UK's leading farm and foods standard scheme, have asked me to make some recipe films with Adam Henson, Countryfile presenter and possibly the nations favourite farmer, from the Cotswold Farm Park. Today I went up to the farm and met Adam for the first time, who was as lovely as you might expect, but my eyes were really only for the 4 day old piglet I was given to snuggle. Love a piglet snuggle!

Anyway, back to important matters in hand......

Barbecuing is one of my very favourite ways to cook - there is a whole chapter dedicated to grilling in my book How to Eat Outside, and I have been fabulous Canadian barbecue brand Napoleon Grills cooking ambassador for the last 3 years, dreaming up new recipes and making films to to show how easy they are to cook.  With my expertise in all things barbecue, Red Tractor asked me to teach Adam how to grill better, and in return he will teach me about what Red Tractor are all about. We are making 3 films - the first on how to cook the perfect steak, then Meditteranean style lamb leg steaks with caramelised onions, butterbeans and gremolata (a punchy sprinkle of parsley, garlic and lemon), and finally an Asian marinated chicken thighs, slow cooked and glazed with honey, with barbecued soy and lime dressed greens.

The films will be released on the 1st May 2017, over on the Red Tractor website and YouTube channel, and across social media. And I'm make sure I get a link up here too, watch this space.....
